Our Dollars for Scholars chapter is a nonprofit foundation that supports academic success in our community. As part of Scholarship America's national network of locally based, volunteer-driven Dollars for Scholars chapters, our mission is to mobilize our community on behalf of postsecondary education success for our students.
Dollars for Scholars chapters like ours help hometown students achieve their educational goals by raising scholarship funds, establishing endowments, providing assistance with college readiness and the financial aid process, and distributing scholarships each year.

OUR MISSION
To encourage alumni of Greencastle High School to maintain an interest in the academic, athletic, cultural and social environment of the school.
To establish an ongoing Alumni Scholarship Foundation to provide funds for deserving students to pursue additional education at an academic or vocational level.
To pass on to current generations of students and staff, the rich heritage of the thousands of Alumni who have gone before with a proud history in the fields of Education, Business, Industry, Agriculture, Athletics and the Arts.
OUR PURPOSE
As a member of the Scholarship America Dollars for Scholars program the Greencastle Alumni Association is dedicated to promoting the fellowship of all former students, friends and teachers associated with Greencastle High School by preserving the history of the school, supporting its present activities, and laying the foundation for a successful future.
OUR OBJECTIVES
1. To promote the fellowship of all former students, friends and teachers associated with Greencastle High School
2. To collect and preserve memorabilia from the history of Greencastle High School.
3. To sponsor annual gatherings of friends, teachers, and alumni of Greencastle High School.
4. To maintain a website for Greencastle High School alumni news and contacts.
5. To publish newsletters highlighting alumni activities and other pertinent information concerning Greencastle High School.
6. To support the administration in the objectives of education in the Greencastle Community School System.
7. To administer the Greencastle High School Alumni Scholarship Fund presently housed in the Putnam County Community Foundation.
